Selecting the Right Pump

Selecting the right waterjetting pump for today and with the future in mind can be a difficult decision. Just because you require a 20,000 PSI pump today doesn't mean you won't need a 40,000 PSI pump in 6 months. It is always good to purchase at high pressures because a 40,000 PSI pump can always operate at 20,000 PSI.

Here are several other things to consider when selecting a pump:

  • Does my pump produce enough water volume to be effective in my application? Bingham Industries offers pumps at many different pressure ratings and also with different flow ratings, so we always have the right pump for the right application.
  • Am I going to be using 100% of my pumps power and flow? It's always better to use 85-90% of a pumps max values. (Ex. running a 40,00 PSI pump at 36,000 will drastically increase parts life, with minimal lose of performance
  • Can my pump be converted to accept other pressures? With Bingham Industries, the answer is yes. 40,000 PSI pump can be converted to lower pressures with a conversion kit. 10,000 & 20,000 PSI pumps can be converted to 40,000 PSI models, also with a conversion kit.
  • Is my pump easy to maintain? With Bingham Industries, the answer is also yes. Our pump line is easy to operate, easy to overhaul and easy to make money with.
